What is the Nimbus?
The Nimbus controller is featured in a PLC role (programmable logic controller) as seen in the picture above and on the left bottom is part of a scalable solution platform and typically integrated into diverse automation control solutions. The above-pictured building management is just one of the possible application examples and more are detailed on the applications tab in this section.Â
The solution is currently in field trials and will be released to the market in 2022.
Which problems does the Nimbus platform solve?
It’s a fact that exciting new applications are now opening up for engineers that need to solve more complex problems faster with higher maintainability, using diverse skills/knowledge levels.
The CATIM Nimbus solution integrates features that have typically been uncommon to PLC such as machine vision, AI, analytics, IIoT solar / battery management and enabling engineers to rapidly achieve their goals. Engineers will be able to start developments from the ground up in several popular engineering software platforms or utilise the CATIMi application generator to produce a sophisticated application within minutes.
The power distribution panel above is an ongoing CATIM project for Eco Village houses that incorporates your ordinary power panel in any house however as we embedded the Nimbus PLC with amazing smarts to control every facet of the house, it has been one of the most exciting projects as we create a market fit for the Nimbus.
